The main target in a wide-ranging racketeering investigation will serve about two years in prison. And when he gets out, he might reopen the cycle shop that led to his arrest.
U.S. District Court Judge Oliver Wanger on Monday sentenced Robert Holloway, 62, to four years. Holloway, who owns Road Dog Cycle in Denair, pleaded guilty in June to extortion.
With credit for time served, Holloway's sentence will be 34 months. He has the potential to have more time taken off his sentence with good behavior and participation in a substance-abuse program. He could be free in less than two years.
