During a brief hearing in Solano County Superior Court on Wednesday, officials with the District Attorney's Office said charges against Daniel Richard Garcia, 29, related to a May pipe bomb blast that damaged a vehicle in Fairfield have been dropped after the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California filed their own charges.
Garcia was arrested on June 18 at his Quincey Lane home after a seven-hour standoff with police.
Fairfield police believe Garcia is linked to a May 27 pipe bomb that exploded underneath a vehicle on Phoenix Drive. Police served a search warrant at Garcia's home on June 16 and found an explosive device and materials used for the making of explosive devices.
