Today, the jury found all five Sekhon & Sekhon defendants guilty of Count 1, conspiracy to defraud the United States and to make false statements in asylum applications. All four of the defendants charged in count 17 (all but Jagdip Sekhon) were also found guilty of that conspiracy to make false statements charge. There were not guilty verdicts on some of the remaining individual false statements counts. On Friday, Judge Damrell allowed all five defendants to remain released on bail pending sentencing.
