"The defendant wants court-ordered power to drag fishing nets through the distant, briny deeps of records all across the federal government," said prosecutor Matt Segal in papers filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Sacramento.
The prosecutors were responding to an earlier defense motion for discovery in the case against Salyer, 54, the former owner of the SK Foods Group in Monterey.
