It's Official: Carolyn Delaney Named New Sacramento Magistrate Judge

Carolyn K. Delaney, a highly regarded federal prosecutor, was named Wednesday as Sacramento's newest U.S. magistrate judge.

Delaney, 48, who is respected by criminal defense lawyers as well as her colleagues in the U.S. attorney's office, will take her oath Friday and begin work as a judge Monday, according to Anthony W. Ishii, chief federal district judge for the Eastern District of California.
