Federal officials announced Wednesday that they've busted a Fresno-based counterfeit ring that moved 70,000 movies and compact discs with a retail value of just under $1 million.
Federal agents arrested three men in the case Tuesday and two of them appeared in U.S. District Court in Fresno on Wednesday.
Alberto Campos-Limon, 24, and Jose Jeronimo-Jimenez, 32, both of Fresno, and Arnoldo Chavez-Mendoza, 50, who lives in Tulare, were arrested at a rural Fresno County home and charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods. Officials said all three men were Mexican nationals.
Charges included conspiracy, copyright infringement and trafficking in counterfeit labels.
